Ms. Hoai Anh, author and founder of ICBC, said: “The program hopes to receive new and familiar creative ideas, stimulating children's imagination, passion and belief in choosing a future career, not bound by gender stereotypes or living conditions.”
Creative ideas should focus on children aged 5 to 11, with creative content, age-appropriateness, and contributing to spreading the message of equality in learning and career orientation.
All Vietnamese citizens, regardless of age, can participate in the program as individuals or in groups. Participants have the opportunity to develop manuscripts, and outstanding ideas will be selected for publication by Kim Dong Publishing House and spread to schools, libraries, and children's book reading communities nationwide.
Specifically, from April 21, the call for creativity and application will be announced, and the deadline for receiving applications will be May 18. From June 29 to July 6, the time for announcing selected ideas and displaying selected works at the Showcase “Meet Me in the Future” will be announced.
Within the framework of the "Meet Me in the Future" call program, there will be two community workshops held at Kim Dong Publishing House, 55 Quang Trung, Hanoi to create connections, share information, knowledge and spread the message of freedom of career choice to the community.
The first workshop - “Career diversity through the lens of children’s books” - will take place on April 27 with the participation of speakers in the field of children’s books and gender equality.
The workshop is designed to provide an opportunity for parents, teachers,educators , child care providers and the community at large to explore, share and reflect on the potential value that children's books can bring in stimulating children's curiosity and desire to explore careers.
The second workshop - “Putting together childhood dreams” - will take place on May 10 “ is a creative space for creative practitioners and young people from 18 to 30 years old. The workshop is not only a journey of self-discovery, but also a stepping stone for participants to be inspired and motivated to submit their ideas to the call for creativity program “Meet me in the future”.
The workshop space will also introduce and display children's books on diverse career topics to inspire and encourage participants to explore stories and storytelling forms to convey career messages to young readers.
