Sarah revealed that they wanted to have a new and interesting experience, so they decided to travel from Da Nang to Hanoi by 5-star train instead of flying. “Although the journey lasted up to 17 hours, we still chose the train, because we found this experience more interesting than a 1-hour flight,” she said.

To facilitate video recording of the experience as well as ensure privacy, Eric and Sarah chose a VIP sleeper cabin for 2 passengers with 2 lower beds and 2 upper beds that can be folded down.

The Canadian female tourist revealed that she paid 260 USD (about 6.6 million VND) for a night's stay in this quality cabin.

“The room was designed for four people, but there were only two of us. I didn’t want to disturb anyone around me while filming, so I chose this space. I really like it,” Sarah commented.

According to Sarah's observation, the VIP sleeper cabin is beautifully designed, the interior is comfortable and scientifically and neatly arranged. In addition to two-way air conditioning, the room also has a compact coffee table, reading lamp and bedding, pillows and mattresses.

A Canadian tourist commented that the sleeping compartment on the 5-star train was designed like a mobile bedroom. “I love the way they arranged this room, including the delicate wall paintings with images of Vietnamese villages,” she exclaimed.

The female tourist was also impressed with some of the dishes prepared and arranged by the cruise ship in the room, including: soft drinks, water, cakes, fruits, tea, coffee, tissues, etc.

After putting away their belongings and looking around every corner of the room, Eric and Sarah moved outside to walk around and explore other functional areas on the ship.

Sarah commented that the toilet was quite small but clean, and the sink area was beautifully designed and luxurious. These two areas were arranged at both ends of the train car for convenient use by passengers.

Breakfast on board is simple and cheap

After a long day of traveling, the two Canadian guests felt quite tired and decided to go to bed early. When they woke up, Eric spent time enjoying breakfast with hot minced meat porridge for 10,000 VND and a cup of milk coffee for 15,000 VND.

Sarah woke up later and satisfied her hunger with a light breakfast served free of charge on the train (long-distance trains only), consisting of pastries, fresh milk and fruit.

They were also surprised and delighted to see the beautiful green scenery outside the window. “Look, we just passed through rice fields and some small towns. I even saw some buffaloes on the way,” Sarah said.

The Canadian female tourist humorously shared that she could sit all day in a room like this, both cool and able to enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the road.

At nearly 12 noon, after 17 hours of traveling, Eric and Sarah finally arrived in Hanoi. They enjoyed the feeling of sitting on the train and looking outside. The bustling street scene, busy traffic and houses located close to the railway made them both continuously cheer every time the train passed by.
