Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new school year, Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Quyen, President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment, said: Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment is a public university, part of the system of strong universities in Vietnam, ranked 64th in the Top 100 universities in Vietnam out of 240 higher education institutions nationwide, is an educational institution that meets national quality standards according to the new set of standards for higher education institutions, more than 35% of the programs are accredited and meet national standards.

With a tradition of more than 47 years of establishment and development, Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment has been affirming its position as a Center for training quality human resources, scientific research and technology transfer in the Southern region in particular and the whole country in general, contributing significantly to the sustainable economic development of the country, especially in Ho Chi Minh City and the South.

Accordingly, the majors and sub-majors in the fields of Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change have also been integrated and linked with other professions in the fields of economic science and technology.

Speaking at the ceremony, authorized by the leaders of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Chu Ngoc Kien, Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel, congratulated the achievements of Ho Chi Minh City University of Natural Resources and Environment in the 2022-2023 school year. Accordingly, the training quality of the University has been gradually improved and there have been strong and timely changes to meet the strict requirements on the quality of human resources in the field of natural resources and environment in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution, the digital age.

According to Mr. Chu Ngoc Kien, the upcoming development path of the University still has many difficulties and challenges to implement autonomy according to the Government's policy, while continuing to complete assigned political tasks.
