– On the morning of February 27th (the 18th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Dragon) , the People's Committee of Chi Lang Ward, Lang Son City, organized the opening ceremony of the Tien Pagoda Spring Festival 2024. This is the highlight festival of Lang Son City in 2024.

Attending the event were Comrade Doan Thi Loan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Lang Son City Party Committee; representatives from several provincial departments and agencies; and a large number of local people and tourists from all over the country.
The Tien Pagoda - Tien Well complex, located in Chi Lang ward, Lang Son city, is a famous scenic spot in Lang Son province. It was classified as a National Monument in 1992 and was included in the "Eight Scenic Spots of Lang Son" by Governor Ngo Thi Si. This complex encompasses many unique cultural and religious values, including folk tales, ancient inscriptions, and ancient statues.

At the opening ceremony, delegates, locals, and tourists enjoyed unique and vibrant cultural performances. At the same time, people and visitors from all over the country could also visit and admire the historical sites of Tien Pagoda – Tien Well, Thuy Cung Cave, and participate in many traditional games such as stick pushing, chess, bamboo pole dancing, and O An Quan (a traditional board game). Particularly, the highlight of this year's festival was the ritual of carrying water from Tien Well to Tien Pagoda, expressing the people's reverence for the Immortal who bestowed water to save them from drought.

The Tien Pagoda Festival is an opportunity for local people and visitors from near and far to satisfy their spiritual needs, recall the merits of their ancestors, express gratitude to the saints, fairies, and national heroes who have contributed to the people and the country, and pray for wealth, good fortune, and peace for their families in the new year. It is also an opportunity to meet, exchange ideas, strengthen community bonds, and raise awareness of the responsibility to preserve the culture, heritage, and scenic spots of Lang Son province.

Earlier, as part of the festival activities, on the evening of February 26th (the 17th day of the first lunar month), a special cultural program with themes of spring, homeland, and country was held at the Tien Pagoda historical site. The program featured performances by singers, artists, actors, and clubs from the city and Chi Lang ward, creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere to welcome the festival.
