BHG - On the evening of June 8, at the Ha Giang City Convention Center, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Embassy of India in Hanoi to organize the opening ceremony of the Indian Film Festival in Ha Giang Province. Attending the program on behalf of the Embassy of India in Hanoi were Mr. Roshan Lepcha, Political and Information Counselor and his wife. On behalf of Ha Giang Province, there were Mr. Vuong Ngoc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of Ha Giang City.

The film week takes place from June 8 to June 13 at 4 locations in the province including: Ha Giang City, Dong Van District, Bac Quang District and Xin Man District with famous Indian films including: Female Wrestler, English in My Language, Live Only Once and Roar of Freedom. The 4 films represent the unique nuances of Indian cinema, from epic action to touching stories about family and friendship. In particular, the epic action film "Roar of Freedom" recreates the story of 2 revolutionaries during the colonial period in India. The film "English in My Language" reflects the journey of self-discovery of a housewife through learning English, affirming her confidence and self-worth. The film "Live Only Once" is about friendship and profound lessons through the life-changing trip of 3 friends. “Wrestler” is an inspiring story about a father who overcomes social prejudice to help his daughter become a wrestling champion.

The film week is an activity within the framework of the International Yoga Festival and Indian Cultural Exchange in Ha Giang in 2025.
