Delivering a speech at the ceremony, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia - Head of the Steering Committee for the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day emphasized: The solemn celebration of the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day is an opportunity for all of us to review and increase our pride, respect, and infinite gratitude towards President Ho Chi Minh - the genius leader, the great teacher of the Vietnamese revolution, the national liberation hero, the world cultural celebrity, the exemplary international communist soldier, and the close friend of peace-loving and social progress-loving peoples around the world. He was the one who founded, led, trained, and was the great teacher of Vietnam Revolutionary Press.

Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia - Head of the Steering Committee for the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day delivered a speech at the Ceremony.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that the country is standing at the threshold of a new development stage, with opportunities and challenges intertwined. Revolutionary journalism is facing turning-point and breakthrough changes. The goals, tasks, and strategic solutions that the entire Party, people, army, and political system are determined to implement to bring the country steadily forward in the new era are the topics, goals, and tasks of press agencies and journalists.
That context and goal require each press agency and journalist nationwide, first of all, to renew their thinking, awareness and practical actions so that the press becomes more revolutionary, more professional, more modern, more humane, worthy of the glorious 100-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, founded, led and trained by President Ho Chi Minh; cared for, led, guided and encouraged by the Party and State; and trusted, helped and accompanied by the people.
Our Party and State always affirm that: Vietnamese revolutionary press is an inseparable part of the entire ideological and cultural work of the Party, of the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Our press takes the interests of the nation, the people, the happiness and prosperity of the people as the ultimate goal, all for a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
The 100-year journey of the Vietnamese revolutionary press has marked the efforts, achievements, lessons and challenges, ups and downs, aspirations to move forward. In today's solemn ceremony, we, the revolutionary press, are honored, proud and can affirm that over the past century, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has always been steadfast, loyal, serving the noble revolutionary cause of the Party, the nation, and the People. We will enter the next 100-year journey with great aspirations, determination, and efforts to excellently fulfill the role and mission entrusted to us by the Party, the State and the People, contributing to bringing the country into a new era, for a Vietnam of "peace, independence, democracy, wealth, prosperity, civilization, happiness, firmly advancing towards socialism", standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers, as President Ho Chi Minh wished and the burning aspiration of the entire nation.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam acknowledged and praised the important contributions of the Vietnamese revolutionary press throughout the 100-year journey of building and growing; congratulated Vietnamese revolutionary journalists on receiving the Ho Chi Minh Medal for the second time, a noble award bestowed by the Party, State and people for their great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
The General Secretary affirmed that the achievements of the Vietnamese revolutionary press under the leadership of the Party are the crystallization of the ideals, tireless creative work, and spirit of dedication to the Fatherland and the people of generations of Vietnamese journalists. The 100-year history of the Vietnamese revolutionary press is a vivid testament to the great role of the pen in the cause of fighting for national independence, building and defending the socialist Fatherland. When there was no Party, no government, the press was the spiritual flame that guided, oriented ideology, gathered the masses, built the political party, and built the state.
In the midst of war, the press is a sharp weapon, conveying the spirit of resistance, courage and the desire for independence, calling on the entire nation to fight for national liberation and unification. In building, defending and developing the country, the press is a bridge between the Party, the State and the people, a trusted forum for the people, a strength and inspiration for the entire nation on the path towards a prosperous, prosperous, independent, free and sustainable future.

In the context of a rapidly changing, complex, and multi-dimensional world, the revolutionary press has always maintained its role as a pioneering force in maintaining political stability, strengthening social consensus, firmly protecting national sovereignty, proactively fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation. The press has responsibly participated and actively propagated the Party's policies and guidelines on digital transformation, sustainable development, environmental protection, preservation of national cultural identity, and comprehensive and extensive international integration; making outstanding contributions to the fight against corruption, waste, and negativity.
Directing the orientation of activities in the coming time, the General Secretary stated that the new era of the nation is opening up new development horizons, while also posing new revolutionary requirements with high determination and great aspirations to build a strong and prosperous country. In that context, the Vietnamese revolutionary press must further affirm its revolutionary mettle, its pioneering role on the ideological and cultural front, be an ideological pillar, a shock force in creating trust and consensus in society; contribute significantly to multiplying humanistic and progressive values, strongly spreading the spirit of innovation and creativity, inspiring learning, working and dedication. The press must constantly innovate itself to develop commensurate with the stature of the times, with the development of the country, truly becoming a professional, humane and modern press, serving the cause of the Party, State and People on the journey of building and developing the country.
Press agencies and journalists need to be deeply aware of their particularly noble political and social responsibilities to the Party, the State and the people. It is necessary to innovate the thinking of leadership, direction and management of the press in the direction of building and creating an operating environment for the press to best promote its revolutionary nature and mission of serving the country and the people. Key press agencies such as Nhan Dan Newspaper, Communist Magazine, Vietnam News Agency, Voice of Vietnam Radio, Vietnam Television, and a number of electronic information portals of central agencies need to focus on digital transformation, strengthen cooperation and integration, perform well the role of forecasting, perform well the function of information orientation, and deserve to be "lighthouses" for the country's revolutionary press system. Vietnamese journalists must truly be shock troops, possessing a strong political stance, a spirit of innovation, and a desire to contribute and devote themselves to the common cause of the nation. The press must become a force that builds trust, encourages development aspirations, and contributes to realizing the goal of building a strong, prosperous, and everlasting Vietnam in the era of national growth.
