At the appraisal session, the Council examined the documents, listened to presentations from the subjects and compared them with the set of criteria for evaluating and classifying OCOP products. A total of 6 products from economic organizations in the area were evaluated, including 3 re-evaluated products: Muong Vi Seng Cu rice and Muong Vi Seng Cu brown rice of Hao Anh Agricultural Cooperative and Muong Khuong chili sauce of Hoa Loi Cooperative (Lao Cai city); 3 newly evaluated products are Giang Du sticky rice of Giang Du sticky rice business household, Moc Nep Cai Hoa Vang wine and Coc traditional wine of Tay Bac Wine Production Facility.

The Council acknowledged the meticulous and serious preparation of the subjects, and highly appreciated the product quality, origin of raw materials, safe and transparent production process. As a result, the re-evaluated and newly-evaluated products all met the 3-star OCOP standard, with 1 product, Muong Vi Seng Cu rice, meeting the 4-star standard.
The appraisal session is an important basis for proposing classification, contributing to enhancing the value of local products and affirming the local OCOP brand in the market.
