Hoa Phat received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee in the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.

On the morning of June 20, 2025, Hoa Phat Group received a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province for its achievements in contributing and supporting funding in the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Quang Ngai province in 2025".

Hoa Phat is one of 14 collectives awarded certificates of merit by provincial leaders at the Conference "Summary of the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Quang Ngai province in 2025"

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Quang Ngai province, acknowledged and thanked organizations and individuals for accompanying and supporting funding so that the program could be implemented quickly and smoothly, creating a warm home for people to "settle down and make a living".

As of June 20, 2025, the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Quang Ngai province has been basically completed, 2 months earlier than the time as directed by the Prime Minister , with 6,331/6,331 houses, reaching 100%. The total cost of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is 319.14 billion VND, of which the budget source is 261.577 billion VND and the support source from organizations, individuals and enterprises is 57.563 billion VND.

Previously, responding to the call of the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and ministries to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by the end of 2025, Hoa Phat Group has supported the construction of more than 1,500 houses for the poor and disadvantaged households nationwide. Of which, the Group supported Quang Ngai province with 30 billion VND and Phu Yen with 20 billion VND (equivalent to 1,000 houses), the rest were in Tra Vinh and Soc Trang.

Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, awarded a certificate of merit to the representative of Hoa Phat Group - Mr. Ho Duc Tho, Deputy Director of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Company at the Conference.

Hoa Phat has invested more than 7 billion USD in Dung Quat Economic Zone, Quang Ngai Province. Since the project began in 2017 to 2024, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel has contributed nearly 35,000 billion VND to the State budget. Hoa Phat's projects in Dung Quat Economic Zone create jobs for about 17,000 direct workers, of which local workers account for more than 80% and tens of thousands of workers of Hoa Phat's contractors and partners.

In addition to production and business activities, Hoa Phat Group has spent hundreds of billions of VND on practical social security activities in the province. Some of the main activities include sponsoring medical equipment, repairing and building new schools and roads, supporting orphans monthly, providing water filters for local schools, giving Tet gifts to the poor, etc.
