Promoting the Party's comprehensive leadership role

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Tran Minh Binh - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD) said: In 2025, the VietinBank Party Committee will continue to promote its role of comprehensive leadership in all activities , focusing on consolidating politics , ideology, organization, and paying attention to synchronously implementing Party building work. This is the foundation for carrying out political tasks, leading and directing affiliated party organizations to successfully organize the Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term; at the same time, well preparing conditions for organizing the 11th VietinBank Party Congress.

Mr. Tran Minh Binh - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VietinBank delivered the opening speech at the Conference.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the VietinBank Party Committee has basically completed the organization of Party congresses at all levels, moving towards organizing the Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term; comprehensively leading and directing the implementation of political tasks and Party building work throughout the Party Committee; leading and directing the streamlining of the organizational apparatus in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 18 of the Central Executive Committee; proactively researching and restructuring the network of transaction offices; focusing on synchronizing solutions to promote, improve, and enhance labor productivity and the quality of human resources.

In the last 6 months of 2025, the Party Committee of VietinBank will continue to make efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities to focus on implementing key business topics, and be determined to successfully complete the business plan targets for 2025. In particular, some key tasks that need to be focused on are as follows: (1) Continue to concretize and effectively implement the Resolutions, Directives, and Conclusions of the Central Committee, the Government Party Committee, in conjunction with the business orientation and practical operations of the VietinBank system; (2) Promote the building and rectification of a clean and strong Party Committee in all aspects; (3) Focus on preparing for the organization of the Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term to ensure progress and requirements and (4) Continue to strongly innovate inspection and supervision methods and approaches; Promote digital transformation and apply information technology to further improve the quality and effectiveness of Party inspection, supervision and discipline work; strengthen the fight against corruption, waste and negativity.

Positive business growth

Promoting its role as a key State bank, VietinBank continues to provide capital for the economy, directing credit capital to production and business sectors, priority sectors and growth drivers, ensuring safe and effective credit operations , including: Lending to priority sectors; lending according to Resolution 33 of the Government on removing and promoting the real estate market; implementing a special preferential credit program for young people under 35 years old with an interest rate of only 5% - 6%/year. In addition, VietinBank continues to improve and simplify lending procedures to support people and businesses in accessing credit capital ; reduce costs to have a basis to continue lowering lending interest rates (CIR is always in the lowest group in the Banking Industry ) .

Mr. Nguyen Tran Manh Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of VietinBank presented the Report on the summary of Party work, business activities in the first 6 months of the year and the deployment of tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.

In line with the plan set by the State Bank and the General Meeting of Shareholders, VietinBank has achieved positive business results in the first 6 months of the year. Specifically: Outstanding credit growth is estimated at 10% compared to the end of 2024; mobilized capital increased by an estimated 9% compared to the end of 2024; profit before risk provisioning continues to grow compared to the same period in 2024.

In particular, digital transformation at VietinBank is being implemented comprehensively, covering all key aspects of the Bank's operations in terms of customer segments, digital business models, products and services on digital platforms, developing data technology platforms and promoting AI applications.

Besides business activities, VietinBank continues to actively contribute and take the lead in social security and community engagement.

Overview of the Conference

At the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Duc Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee highly appreciated the positive results in both Party building and political tasks of VietinBank in the first 6 months of the year. In the context of unpredictable fluctuations in the world and in the country, Mr. Nguyen Duc Phong also suggested: VietinBank Party Committee needs to continue to strengthen Party building, improve the comprehensive leadership capacity and fighting strength of the entire Party Committee; continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of inspection and supervision in the entire Party Committee... to continue to excellently complete the assigned political tasks and develop strongly in the coming time.

In his closing speech at the Conference, Chairman of the Board of Directors Tran Minh Binh said: Moving towards the 11th Congress of VietinBank Party Delegates, term 2025 - 2030, with the spirit of determination and innovation , Party committees at all levels in the entire VietinBank Party Committee need to continue to promote intelligence and courage , solidarity and consensus to help VietinBank effectively implement key business topics in 2025.
