On June 1, at Ecopark Urban Area (Van Giang), the Provincial People's Committee organized the opening ceremony of the 2024 fabric market.
This year, the lychee market attracted 50 booths from businesses, cooperatives, and gardeners in the province. Of these, 30 booths displayed and sold fresh lychee products; 20 booths displayed and sold OCOP products, typical agricultural products of the province.
Currently, the province has over 1,300 hectares of Phu Cu early-ripening hybrid lychee and Hung Yen egg lychee, grown mainly in Phu Cu district and Da Loc commune (An Thi). Some lychee growing areas in the province have been granted growing area codes for export to Japan, Korea and Europe. At the market, Hung Yen egg lychee is sold at a price ranging from 180,000 to 220,000 VND/kg; Phu Cu early-ripening hybrid lychee is sold at a price of 40,000 to 50,000 VND/kg. On the opening day, the market attracted about 600 visitors to visit, shop and enjoy fresh lychee and other typical agricultural products of the province.
The 2024 Fabric Fair will take place over 2 days from June 1-2, 2024.
