Mr. Tran Minh Cong, Deputy Director in charge of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts, said that this exhibition is a special journey, through the mindset and artistic lens of painter Dao Trong Ly - a son living abroad who always cherishes his love for President Ho Chi Minh. The public will have the opportunity to better understand the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh.

The artworks by artist Dao Trong Ly, created in Thailand between 2018 and 2024, recreate the revolutionary journey of President Ho Chi Minh from his early days searching for a way to save the country to major historical milestones. In particular, the image of Uncle Ho is portrayed as both an outstanding leader and a simple, approachable man, full of love and compassion for the people.

In addition, 21 propaganda posters, mostly created between 1969 and 1980, have made the image of President Ho Chi Minh an endless source of inspiration, closely associated with major national holidays. With concise visual language and strong, basic colors, the works convey both political messages and artistic merit.

“For many generations of artists, President Ho Chi Minh's career has been an endless source of inspiration. Today's exhibition not only brings together the valuable works of the late painter Dao Trong Ly but also presents evocative propaganda paintings with strong colors and clear messages. This is an opportunity for us to pay tribute to and remember his immense contributions,” emphasized Mr. Nguyen Anh Minh, Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.

The exhibition is open until September 5, 2025, at Building 2, Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts. This is an opportunity for the public to commemorate the beloved leader, the national liberation hero, and the outstanding cultural figure; and at the same time, to awaken the pride and responsibility of today's generation through these precious art artifacts.
