On November 23, at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, Dong Mo, Son Tay, Hanoi, the opening ceremony of the 2023 Vietnam National Solidarity Week - Vietnam Cultural Heritage and the second festival of pole performance, cultural exchange, sports and tourism of Vietnamese ethnic groups took place.

Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and leaders of central and local departments, ministries and branches; artisans from many provinces and cities across the country.
The program is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front , on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18) and the 78th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
In his opening speech, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized: " The Great Unity Week of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage in 2023 is organized to honor the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic groups in the unified and diverse culture of the community of 54 ethnic groups; inherit and practice cultural forms to preserve and promote the fine traditional cultural heritage values of Vietnamese ethnic groups; raise the sense of responsibility in building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the sustainable requirements of the country in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the National Cultural Conference in 2021".
Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien gave a speech directing: "It is necessary to promote the strength of the great solidarity bloc in the community of ethnic groups and the role of preserving and promoting national cultural heritages. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism continues to synchronously implement solutions, especially the cultural development strategy until 2030, preserving and promoting the fine cultural identities of ethnic groups, making culture permeate deeply into social life, connecting and spreading the strength of great national solidarity; at the same time, emphasizing the work of continuing to collect, preserve and promote the unique tangible and intangible cultural heritage of 54 ethnic groups, combined with the culture of tourism development, promoting the image of Vietnam to tourists and international friends, contributing to enhancing the prestige and position of our country in the international arena.

After the Opening Ceremony, a special art program with the theme "Colorful Convergence and Shining" took place, honoring the traditional cultural beauty and unique customs of Vietnamese ethnic groups, especially with the participation of artisans from the provinces: Son La, Lai Chau, Thanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Dak Lak, Da Nang.
Impressed with the Opening Ceremony, German Mathias said: "It's great that I don't have to go to many places, I can see many cultures of Vietnamese ethnic groups here. I like the most when I go to the Women's Museum, I can see Vietnamese women's costumes. Today, in this very impressive opening ceremony, I can admire good songs, but the national costumes are lively and very beautiful."
