This is the first time the railway industry has put into operation a 34-seat VIP carriage designed in Indochina style with 180-degree rotating seats, 64-seat standard seats and modern amenities such as semi-automatic doors, free wifi, and LED screens. The train bears the cultural imprint of the port city and is expected to become a unique, environmentally friendly tourism product.
General Director of Vietnam Railways Hoang Gia Khanh affirmed that the operation of the "Hoa Phuong Do" train is an important milestone demonstrating the railway industry's determination to innovate in developing tourism on the Hanoi - Hai Phong route. This type of high-quality tourist train is deployed with the goal of bringing the best experience to passengers.

Currently, the Hanoi - Hai Phong route operates from 4 to 6 pairs of trains per day, meeting the increasing travel and tourism needs of the people. Ticket prices range from 105,000 - 300,000 VND/ticket depending on the seat class and travel date.
"Red Flamboyant" is not only a symbol connecting Hanoi - Hai Phong but also a breakthrough of the railway industry in improving service quality, aiming towards green tourism trend. The event has practical significance to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) and marks a strong recovery of the railway industry after the pandemic.
