Opening of Nguyen Van Tuyet culinary street (Dong Da district)

On the evening of January 18, Dong Da district officially opened Nguyen Van Tuyet culinary street.

Nguyen Van Tuyet Street is honored to be named after one of the seven generals of the Tay Son uprising army, who contributed greatly to the glorious victory of Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da by Emperor Quang Trung - Nguyen Hue in the spring of the year Ky Dau 1789.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Dong Da District People's Committee Ha Anh Tuan said: This street was formed and put into use since 2016, connecting Tay Son Street to Yen Lang Street, with a length of 840m, the sidewalk and roadway cross-section from 10 - 12m, contributing to solving the traffic problem of Tay Son - Nguyen Luong Bang Street and Lang Street. Since its formation, this street has focused on many restaurants, eateries, and refreshments with rich quality and price, becoming a reliable destination for diners.

Implementing Program No. 03-CTr/TU dated March 17, 2021 of the 17th Hanoi Party Committee on "Urban beautification, urban development and urban economy of Hanoi city in the period 2021-2025" and Resolution of the 28th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025, Dong Da district has invested in renovating Nguyen Van Tuyet street in the direction of synchronous technical infrastructure, environmental landscape, green tree system, lighting...

With the desire to create a cultural and culinary highlight, attracting people of the capital to Dong Da, the district has developed a project to establish Nguyen Van Tuyet culinary street, on the basis of developing existing business activities. "The project has received great attention from city leaders, and has been supported and responded to by people in the area. To date, Nguyen Van Tuyet culinary street is ready to be officially put into operation, creating space for pedestrians to enjoy cuisine, cultural and artistic activities", Vice Chairman Ha Anh Tuan emphasized.

After pressing the button to open the culinary street, delegates and visitors visited and enjoyed the attractive dishes that make up the brand of the street; Dong Da district also organized cultural activities to celebrate the opening ceremony.

The street was inaugurated on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of local people, forming another cultural and culinary address of Hanoi Capital; building the image of Hanoi Capital tourism as a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination, contributing to the socio-economic development, tourism of the Capital in general and Dong Da district in particular.

Nguyen Van Tuyet food street opens from 6pm to 12am every Saturday and Sunday.
