Slim but strong

With a thickness of only 9.2 mm when folded and 4.4 mm when unfolded, the Magic V3 is currently the thinnest foldable smartphone on the market. It also weighs only 225 grams, giving users the feeling of using a regular phone when folded. Although it cannot be opened with one hand, it is still quite easy to hold when opening or closing. The drawback of the large screen is that it can lead to accidental app activations or menu openings during operation.

The Honor Magic V3 is currently the thinnest foldable smartphone available.

Even with its slim design, the Honor Magic V3 offers good impact resistance, along with a hinge that can withstand at least 500,000 folds. The IPX8 rating allows the phone to be submerged in water but not dustproof; however, the plastic bezel around the inner screen may easily attract dust.

The Magic V3 features a 6.43-inch external screen and a 7.92-inch internal screen, both with dynamic refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Despite the sharp display, users can still comfortably read, play games, or watch videos in sunlight.

The Honor Magic V3 is thinner and lighter than even an iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The creases on the screen are virtually invisible when viewed straight on. Defocus Display technology helps reduce the risk of nearsightedness caused by staring at the screen. While there isn't a huge difference in usage, this is a notable improvement for people with vision problems.

Powerful AI features

Honor has added a range of powerful AI features to the Magic V3 to enhance the user experience. These include Magic Text, which quickly extracts text from images, and Magic Portal, which allows users to drag and drop content such as text or screenshots into other applications like Gmail or Notes. Additionally, there are app shortcuts and quick settings based on user needs.

With Honor AI Eraser, users can remove unwanted details from photos, Honor Notes can transcribe conversations in real time and supports live translation using both screens for bilingual conversations, with audio and text displayed simultaneously.

The phone can also automatically take photos with AI Motion Sensing and capture beautiful portraits with AI Portrait Engine. Although the camera system isn't superior to top-tier smartphones, it's still impressive with its 50MP main camera delivering beautiful image quality, fast shooting, and good performance in low light conditions. The 50MP periscope camera supports 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. However, the 40MP ultrawide camera suffers from image distortion and color inconsistencies compared to other lenses.

Equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and 12 GB of RAM, the Magic V3 delivers a smooth experience when playing games and using applications. The 512 GB of internal storage allows for ample storage of data such as videos to enjoy on the device's large screen.

The Honor Magic V3's rear camera module boasts powerful hardware.

With its third-generation 5,150 mAh silicon carbon battery, the Magic V3 can last up to two days between charges. The phone supports 50W wireless charging or 66W wired charging, allowing for a full charge in less than an hour.

Based on Android 14 with MagicOS 8 interface, users can easily customize the use of dual screens with various windows and layouts. Importantly, the device promises 4 years of software updates and 5 years of security patches, providing peace of mind for users.

The Honor Magic V3 is expected to be officially launched and go on sale in Vietnam this December.
