
This is a cultural highlight activity affirming the strength of the great national unity bloc, practically celebrating Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day November 23, thereby contributing to honoring, preserving, maintaining and promoting the cultural heritage values of the community of 54 ethnic groups, building an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity, while creating a cultural tourism highlight to introduce the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.
The Muong Ethnic Cultural Festival is an activity to honor, preserve and promote the fine traditional cultural values of the Muong ethnic group in the unified and diverse culture of the community of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam; creating conditions for localities to exchange, learn and share experiences, contributing to raising awareness and consciousness in preserving and maintaining national cultural identity, building and protecting the Fatherland.
The festival is also an opportunity to introduce and promote to domestic and international businesses and friends the potential and strengths of cultural, sports and tourism development and the cultural heritage of the Muong ethnic group in the process of innovation, integration and development.
The opening ceremony of the program takes place from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on November 21 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, Doai Phuong, Hanoi .
The festival has the theme "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group in the new era", including activities such as opening and closing ceremonies; Mass art festival; Costume performance; Performance and introduction of festival excerpts, traditional cultural rituals of the Muong ethnic group; Exhibition, introduction and promotion of traditional Muong ethnic culture in localities; Performance and introduction of traditional Muong ethnic handicrafts; other welcoming activities...
In addition, within the framework of the Festival, there are a number of activities such as the Scientific Workshop on "Preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development", the program to promote and introduce Vietnamese culture to international friends at the "Common House", the National Great Unity Festival at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, Festival Cultural Colors; performances, exchanges, and introductions of ethnic cultures (including Vinh Long river culture, Don ca tai tu art performance, Khmer cultural exchange with Ro bam art heritage, Rom vong dance, Cham rieng cha pay art...
In addition, there is also a space to introduce and practice heritage and traditional crafts such as My Long rice paper and Son Doc rice paper; coconut fiber weaving, coconut leaf weaving, coconut handicrafts, water hyacinth weaving, crown and mask making....
Visitors to the Village this time have the opportunity to experience the unique cultural features of Vinh Long such as the display of real and virtual exhibitions with the theme "Vinh Long - Crystallization of the past - Building the future"; space to introduce and promote tourism, cuisine, photo exhibition and display of OCOP products of Vinh Long province, display and introduce the humanistic values of the famous person Nguyen Dinh Chieu...
A number of cultural, tourism and exchange programs from other localities also took place on this occasion, such as introducing the cultural space of the Cham people's temples in Khanh Hoa province, introducing the culture of the Cham Brahman community with folk songs, dances and music associated with temples; performing and introducing Bau Truc pottery art; cultural exchange programs of the South, ethnic groups in the Central Highlands, ethnic groups in the northern mountainous provinces, etc.

At these cultural exchange spaces, there are activities such as folk song, dance, and folk games of Southern ethnic groups (Can Tho and Vinh Long), introduction of Don ca tai tu art, traditional crafts and traditional arts of Khmer ethnic group, folk song, dance, folk games, cuisine, tourism, local specialties... of ethnic groups of the Central Highlands as well as the northern mountainous provinces.
