The Bru-Van Kieu are one of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, primarily residing in the mountainous regions of Quang Tri, Quang Binh, and Thua Thien Hue provinces. Over the years, the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee has allowed the piloting of tourism products focusing on learning about the Bru-Van Kieu community to promote local cultural development, notably the product "Exploring Nature and Learning about the Culture of the Bru-Van Kieu People in Le Thuy and Quang Ninh Districts".
In Quang Binh province, Coi Da village (located in Ngan Thuy commune, Le Thuy district) is home to a large community of Bru-Van Kieu people. The village is 100% Bru-Van Kieu and lives in traditional stilt houses. Coi Da village is situated in a vast valley surrounded by limestone mountains, caves, and cool, clear streams. The pristine natural beauty of Coi Da, along with the fascinating cultural features of the local people, creates a unique advantage for developing exploratory tourism. Visitors can enjoy traditional musical instruments, listen to stories about their culture, or witness the dances of the Bru-Van Kieu people.
Nestled behind the Coi Da village is Kieu Cave, located in An Bo mountain. The journey to the cave entrance involves traversing steep paths, but enough to excite those who love adventure. Once inside, the diverse and vast world of stalactites and stalagmites can be overwhelming for first-time visitors.
Besides the large stalactite formations, the water pools inside the cave are arranged in tiered steps, which is particularly appealing to visitors. When there is water, these pools shimmer with an emerald green color, creating a magical and enchanting scene. To conquer Kieu Cave, visitors are equipped with specialized equipment such as flashlights, helmets, gloves, and footwear.
After a 3-hour exploration of Kieu Cave, visitors will arrive at the Valley of Love. Here, you can participate in camping activities or enjoy a BBQ meal with dishes prepared by the Bru - Van Kieu people and the tour company. Experiencing a destination without phone or internet signal, everyone has the opportunity to chat and connect more with friends and nature. This is a special feature that makes the trip attractive to tourists visiting Quang Binh.
The tourism product "Exploring nature and learning about the culture of the Bru - Van Kieu people in Le Thuy district and Quang Ninh province" is being developed by Netin Co., Ltd. Surely, your travel diary will become more colorful thanks to this exciting discovery journey.
