Free health check-ups and gifts for young workers in Hanoi.

On the morning of May 26th, at the Phu Nghia Industrial Park in Chuong My district, the Hanoi Youth Union, in coordination with the Hanoi City Federation of Labor, organized the "Day of Solidarity with Young Workers" event, with the cooperation of the Youth Unions of Hanoi's Industrial and Export Processing Zones and the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace. This is a practical activity in response to the 2024 Workers' Month.

The program was attended by representatives from the Hanoi Youth Union, the Hanoi City Federation of Labor, and more than 500 young people and families of workers in the city.

Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Tran Quang Hung delivered a speech at the program.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Tran Quang Hung said that the 2024 Youth Workers' Day included activities such as giving gifts to young workers, ethnic minority children in difficult circumstances, and children of workers who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies... The total value of the gifts was 400 million VND.

In particular, to create opportunities for young workers to interact, share knowledge about information technology, and research smart devices, at the program, the HUB Network of Startup, Innovation and Digital Transformation Clubs awarded the decision to establish and launch the Digital Citizen Club in non-state-owned enterprises.

This is one of the meaningful activities aimed at building a model for the Youth Union organization and strengthening Party building work in non-state-owned enterprises. At the same time, the launch of the Digital Citizen Club has created conditions for coordinating human resource training and providing high-quality human resources for businesses.

In addition, the event also featured many practical and meaningful activities such as: providing consultations and medical examinations for 300 young workers with comprehensive health check-up packages including general check-ups, blood tests, and X-rays.

Organize free haircut booths for workers; booths selling household goods, booths showcasing and displaying SIM card products and services, and free installation of digital signatures on the national public service portal. Implement zero-cost booths and equip young workers with livestreaming sales skills to support workers and their families in becoming affiliate sellers and affiliate marketers, increasing their income during their free time.

Many activities took place at the Day of Solidarity with Young Workers in Hanoi.

The "Singing with Workers" art experience program creates a platform for young workers to participate in cultural and artistic activities, contributing to improving their spiritual lives and bringing about a better quality of life.

Attending the program early in the morning with her daughter, Ms. Vu Thi Hong Thanh (Viet Nery Co., Ltd.) expressed her joy and emotion at the concern shown by the Trade Union and Youth Union towards workers in difficult circumstances.

Ms. Thanh said that she has worked at the company for 6 years, and because she has 3 children, life is quite difficult. With a factory worker's salary of over 4.7 million VND plus company allowances and bonuses, her total monthly income is about 6-7 million VND. Along with her husband's income and family support, she has to scrimp and save each month to cover the living expenses and her children's education.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (Dojung Co., Ltd.) expressed her gratitude for the City Youth Union's concern for workers in difficult circumstances.

"I find this program very meaningful; the government and organizations have shown great concern for workers in difficult circumstances. I hope there will be more programs and more gifts given to more workers," said Ms. Thanh.

Along with 300 other young workers who received free health checkups at the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (Dojung Co., Ltd.) benefited from a comprehensive health checkup service: blood tests, urine tests, blood pressure measurement, ultrasound, and X-ray. Ms. Hong expressed her gratitude for the attention of the City Youth Union, stating that, in addition to the company's regular health checkups, this visit helped her understand her health status and feel more secure in her work.

During this event, 300 young workers received free health consultations and check-ups.

The "Day of Support for Young Workers" is an annual event organized by the Hanoi Youth Union to demonstrate the role and responsibility of the Youth Union in supporting young workers.

According to the Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, in the coming time, the Youth Union will continue to support workers in improving their skills in the context of digital transformation; at the same time, it will have many activities to create youth union organizations such as digital citizen clubs in enterprises that do not yet have youth union organizations.
