Urgently prepare activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2

On the morning of August 6, Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the progress of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Reporting at the meeting, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that commemorative activities are being urgently deployed; propaganda and visual agitation work, organizing traditional activities, renovating historical sites, preparing incense offering ceremonies, meetings, art performances and sports festivals have been specifically planned.

Many celebratory projects have been and are being implemented such as: Dam Doi - Cai Nuoc - Cha La Victory Monument, upgrading Ca Mau - Dam Doi road, starting construction of Ca Mau - Dat Mui Expressway...

Regarding the participation in the national socio -economic achievements exhibition in Hanoi, Ca Mau province chose the theme "The land of Ca Mau - 80 years of National Day, proud of our homeland". The exhibition space introduces outstanding socio-economic achievements, OCOP products, local specialties, art programs, tourism promotion publications, etc. The exhibition is expected to take place from August 28 to September 5, 2025.

Departments, branches and sectors have proactively implemented their assigned tasks; focusing on ensuring security and order, organizing gratitude activities, promoting propaganda work on many platforms according to the direction of the Provincial Party Committee as well as the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department. The work of preparing exhibitions, creating art, implementing welcoming works and organizing logistics is being urgently carried out, ensuring progress, solemnity and economy.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang acknowledged the proactive and responsible spirit of relevant departments, branches and units in implementing preparations for the celebration activities; at the same time, he emphasized that there is not much time left to prepare, requiring units to focus highly and take drastic action to ensure progress, quality and effectiveness of each assigned task.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that units continue to review and closely coordinate in completing the content of organizing meetings, cultural and artistic programs; well performing the work of celebration, reception, logistics, security, environmental sanitation, creating solemnity, thoughtfulness and economy. Speed up the progress, organize the inauguration and commencement of works and projects on schedule, contributing practically to welcoming the event.

In particular, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Vu Thang requested to promote propaganda work, especially on digital platforms, with rich and vivid content, focusing on introducing outstanding achievements in socio-economic development; typical good people, good deeds, to spread patriotism, national pride, create a joyful, exciting atmosphere, and deep impression in the whole society.
