Following reports that the Thanh Duc bridge in Sa Huynh ward, Quang Ngai province, has been completed but lacks connecting roads to National Highway 1A, the construction unit is mobilizing manpower and machinery to urgently implement the remaining items in order to bring the project into full use as soon as possible.
According to reports, An Phu Urban Development Investment Joint Stock Company is focusing on laying the base layer, compacting the roadbed, and paving the access road from Thanh Duc Bridge to National Highway 1A to facilitate travel for residents. The company stated that there are still some obstacles related to land acquisition, fiber optic cables, and the 24kV lighting system. It is expected that the curb, drainage culvert, and the entire project will be completed by early June 2026.
The Thanh Duc Bridge was newly constructed by the Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of 265 billion VND to replace the old, severely dilapidated bridge. The project was inspected and put into use in October 2025, but it cannot be effectively utilized due to the lack of connecting access roads. For some time now, people have had to use the old bridge, posing many potential traffic safety risks.
