On the afternoon of March 20, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with departments, branches and localities on the progress of work related to key projects in Van Phong Economic Zone.

According to the report, up to now, 2/4 of the key zoning planning projects in Van Phong Economic Zone have been approved by the Provincial People's Committee; the remaining 2 zonings are expected to be approved in April. At the same time, 8 zonings have been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for planning tasks and contractor selection. The remaining zonings have submitted task documents, awaiting appraisal and approval. Currently, in the North of Van Phong Economic Zone, there are 3 key projects being implemented. Specifically, the Dam Mon high-end new urban area project in subdivision 3 and the Tu Bong high-end new urban area project in subdivision 8 are being consulted for appraisal of investment policy acceptance documents; The Co Ma high-end new urban area project is awaiting comments from departments and branches. Regarding the high-end tourism , resort and entertainment complex project with Hon Lon golf course in subdivision 1 and the high-end service and tourism complex project of Khai Luong mountain in subdivision 2, the investor is currently completing the documents. In addition, there are currently 6 key industrial projects in the province, including: Doc Da Trang Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project; Cam Ranh South Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project; Ninh Xuan Industrial - Urban - Service Park Project; Ninh Diem Industrial Park Project; Ninh Son Industrial Park Project; Petrochemical Refinery Organization Project are currently selecting investors and implementing investment procedures.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan requested the Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board to develop a detailed plan for the progress of implementing the work of planning subdivisions and each key project; in the immediate future, priority should be given to appraising the planning projects of subdivisions 1 and 2. At the same time, the Board must coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment to develop a plan to promote investment in the Van Phong Economic Zone. Regarding the industrial land index, the Board will coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to calculate priority for strategic investors. Localities need to strengthen land management, construction order, etc.
