Khanh Hoa promotes private economic development, strictly handles corruption of officials and civil servants

To promote private economic development, Khanh Hoa province has made a plan that emphasizes innovation in thinking, improving the investment and business environment, and strictly handling corruption by officials and civil servants.

On August 16, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee announced that it had just issued an action plan to implement Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo on private economic development.

According to the plan, Khanh Hoa aims to have 35,000 operating enterprises by 2030. The average growth rate of the private economic sector is expected to reach 12-14%/year, contributing 60-65% of the province's GRDP and over 65% of the total state budget revenue.

The province's technological level, capacity, innovation, and digital transformation are among the top 10 provinces and cities in the country. By 2045, Khanh Hoa strives to have at least 55,000 operating enterprises contributing over 65% of the province's GRDP.

The plan clearly states that by 2045, Khanh Hoa province's private economy will develop rapidly, strongly, sustainably, proactively participate in the global production and supply value chain, and have the capacity to compete domestically, regionally and internationally.

To achieve these goals, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee has identified many key tasks and solutions. These include renewing thinking, promoting reform, perfecting and improving the quality of institutions and policies, ensuring and effectively protecting ownership rights, property rights, freedom of business, and the right to fair competition of the private economy, and ensuring contract enforcement in the private economy.

Effectively and synchronously implement solutions to continue improving the provincial competitiveness index (PCI), administrative reform index (PAR Index), digital transformation assessment index (DTI), local innovation index (PII), department, sector and local competitiveness assessment index (DDCI)....

By 2030, Khanh Hoa's investment and business environment is expected to be among the top 10 localities in the country.

In addition, the province focuses on transparency, digitalization, and automation of administrative processes and procedures as a top priority, especially in areas such as land, planning, investment, construction, and taxes.

The province also strictly handles acts of harassment and corruption by officials and civil servants.

Creating a healthy business ecosystem

Talking to Tuoi Tre Online about the private economic development plan recently issued by Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Quang Duy - Standing Vice President of Khanh Hoa Young Entrepreneurs Association, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DTGROUP Khanh Hoa - said that Khanh Hoa possesses many outstanding advantages including seaport infrastructure, international airport, central location in the Central region, and an ecosystem of tourism - services - marine agriculture.

According to Mr. Duy, if the private economic sector is encouraged to develop strongly, we will create new momentum for the local economy.

Specifically, the private economy will contribute to increasing industrial output, developing high-quality services, and creating more jobs for people. More importantly, private enterprises are flexible and sensitive to the market, so they will lead the process of innovation, digital transformation, and international integration of the province in the coming period.

The development of the private economy not only promotes individual enterprises, but also creates a healthy business ecosystem.

"Enterprises in the province have more opportunities to link value chains, from production - processing - consumption, expanding cooperation with large domestic and foreign enterprises" - Mr. Duy said.

According to him, this is also the motivation for Khanh Hoa enterprises to improve management capacity, invest in modern technology, and meet international standards.

When private enterprises are encouraged to compete fairly and cooperate for mutual development, we will form strong brands that are capable of reaching out to the international market, thereby raising Khanh Hoa's economic position in the country.
