Currently, South Korea is Khanh Hoa's largest international tourist market. In the first nine months of 2024, the province welcomed over 1.5 million tourists from South Korea out of a total of 3.5 million international visitors.
According to statistics, 11 airlines from South Korea and Vietnam are involved in operating flights to bring South Korean tourists to Cam Ranh International Airport. Due to the high number of tourists from South Korea at the end of the year, the airlines have increased the number of flights; currently, there are an average of 21 flights per day bringing tourists from various cities in South Korea to Cam Ranh airport.
VietJet Air currently operates three routes: Incheon – Cam Ranh, Busan – Cam Ranh, and Deagu – Cam Ranh. According to the plan, the Deagu – Cam Ranh route will operate seven round-trip flights per week, departing from Cam Ranh Airport at 00:20 and arriving at Deagu International Airport at 6:50 (local time); the return flight from Deagu International Airport will depart at 7:50 (local time) and arrive at Cam Ranh Airport at 11:00.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Tourism, with the improved air routes, the locality will continue to carry out many activities to promote and expand the South Korean tourist market.
