Russian tourists are excited to travel to Khanh Hoa.
Russian national airline Aeroflot operates the Moscow - Cam Ranh route with Airbus A350-900 (capacity of 315 passengers) and A330-300 (capacity of 295 passengers) with a frequency of 3 flights/week. The first flight departed from Sheremetyevo International Airport, Moscow and landed at Cam Ranh International Airport at 9:30 on March 23 with 292 passengers. Russian tourists were very happy to travel to Khanh Hoa in the warm weather and were warmly welcomed by leaders of Khanh Hoa Tourism Industry.
Russian tourists arrive in Khanh Hoa by Aeroflot commercial flight.
Russia is a traditional tourist market of Khanh Hoa. Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, flights from Russia to Khanh Hoa have been suspended for a long time, so the number of Russian visitors to Khanh Hoa in recent years is still quite low compared to its potential. During a working trip to Russia in mid-March 2025, the delegation of Khanh Hoa province had a working session with representatives of the Russian national airline Aeroflot. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss in detail the plan to restore direct flights from Moscow to Cam Ranh International Airport. At the meeting, the leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee emphasized the importance of opening direct flights in promoting tourism between the two countries. Restoring the flight route from Moscow to Khanh Hoa not only shortens travel time but also reduces airfare costs, creating favorable conditions to promote the growth of the Russian tourist market to Khanh Hoa; at the same time, contributing to promoting trade and bilateral cooperation between Russia and Vietnam.
Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and delegates took photos with the crew of Aeroflot Airlines.
Before the Russian national airline Aeroflot, the Russian airline Azur Air resumed flights from 11 Russian cities to Khanh Hoa from March 17, but these were only charter flights. Azur Air cooperated with Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited to organize flights from 11 Russian cities (Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Barnaul, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Novokuznetsk, Blagoveshchensk) to Khanh Hoa with a frequency of 12 flights in March; 50-55 flights/month from April to June; 90-100 flights/month from July 2025 onwards.
According to information from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in addition to Azur Air and Aeroflot, airlines such as Ikar, North Wind and Red Win… are all planning to open flights to Cam Ranh this summer.
