Khanh Hoa: Mobilizing 100 officers and soldiers to help people overcome flood damage

Floodwaters in the mountainous commune of Lam Son (Khanh Hoa) are gradually receding, and authorities are working with local people to focus on overcoming the damage.

On the evening of September 15, Mr. Doan Van Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Lam Son Commune ( Khanh Hoa Province) said that on the same day, there was heavy rain in the commune, and floodwaters from rivers and streams poured in quickly. The flood did not cause any human casualties but caused landslides on both sides of Gia Chieu stream and destroyed many areas of crops.

“The water has receded. The commune’s forces of about 100 comrades, including police, military , and militia, are urgently assisting people in overcoming the damage,” said Mr. Doan Van Hung.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, it is forecasted that tonight, some places in Khanh Hoa province will continue to have rain with a common amount of 10-30mm, some places over 50mm. There is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides in many communes and wards of the province such as: Bac Ai, Bac Khanh Vinh, Cam Hiep, Dien Lam, Lam Son, My Son, Nam Ninh Hoa, Tan Dinh...
