Khanh Hoa starts construction of 3,800 billion VND social housing area

Happy Home social housing project in Cam Ranh City, including more than 4,000 low-rise apartments and townhouses, contributes to improving the social security index in the locality.

The social housing project with a total investment of nearly 3,800 billion VND was started by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province and Vinhomes Joint Stock Company on the morning of January 11. This is the largest project in Khanh Hoa province at present, expected to be completed after 3 years.

Built on an area of nearly 88 hectares, upon completion, the project will provide nearly 3,600 low-rise social housing units; the commercial housing area will have nearly 540 townhouses and gardens.

The project also includes technical infrastructure and landscape systems, such as: entertainment center; club - outdoor sports training area; children's playground, flower garden; commercial - service works; medical station, school.

The social housing area is located next to National Highway 1A and in subdivision 3 of the urban area along Cam Ranh Bay, connecting to the international airport and the key tourist service area of Cam Ranh City.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, said that the project groundbreaking event was the result of efforts by the locality and investors to develop housing funds for local people and workers.

In the 2021-2030 period, Khanh Hoa forecasts that the demand for social housing will increase by more than 44,400 units by 2025 and by more than 46,000 units by 2030. Responding to the Government's project, the province is allocated to complete 3,400 units in the 2022-2025 period; 4,400 units in the 2026-2030 period.
