On the morning of August 19, Hai Phong City People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony of Hai Duong Maternity Hospital Project Phase II.

Attending the ceremony were members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee: Nguyen Dinh Chuyen, Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Vu Hong Hien, Chairman of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Pham Van Thep, Director of the Department of Science and Technology and comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee.

The Hai Duong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Phase II project has a total investment of more than VND 239.6 billion from the city budget, starting construction in January 2024. To date, the project has completed acceptance procedures for fire prevention, fire fighting, construction, and is eligible for handover and put into use.

The hospital is built with a scale of 7 floors above ground, 1 basement, 1 attic, total floor area of over 16,300 m². The entire project is designed in a modern, synchronous manner with a closed technical infrastructure system, with a scale of 350 beds. This is a big step forward in terms of facilities, meeting the increasing demand for medical examination and treatment of the people.

The inauguration of Hai Duong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Phase II not only expands the scale of patient admission, but also helps improve the quality of health care, especially in the fields of obstetrics and pediatrics.

With spacious and comfortable facilities, functional rooms, people coming for medical examination and treatment will be served in a friendly and modern medical environment.

A system of synchronous and advanced equipment has been invested, allowing the implementation of many modern medical techniques in diagnosis and treatment. This is an important condition for the medical team to promote their expertise, reduce pressure on upper-level hospitals, and at the same time create conditions for people to enjoy high-quality medical services right at their localities.

The operation of Hai Duong Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Phase II will also contribute to ensuring social security, improving the quality of life for people, and making practical contributions to the overall development of the city.

On the morning of August 19, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), the Government organized an online groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony for 250 works and projects at 80 locations nationwide.

Hai Phong City People's Committee has selected 9 projects and works in the area to organize groundbreaking and inauguration, including:

1. Inauguration of the May Chai Bridge Project and the access roads on both sides of the bridge.
2. Groundbreaking ceremony of T2 Passenger Terminal Project - Cat Bi International Airport.
3. Groundbreaking ceremony of the resettlement area construction project for the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project.
4. Commencement of the investment project to build a traffic route connecting National Highway 17B with Dinh Bridge.
5. Commencement of the investment project to build a bridge over the Thai Binh River and the access road of the beltway I section from provincial road 391 to provincial road 390C.
6. Commencement of the project to build the National Highway 37 bypass connecting Thong Nhat Bridge, National Highway 37 with Ring Road I.
7. Groundbreaking ceremony for the project to build a martyrs' temple and cultural park.
8. Inauguration of the Dong Viet Bridge Approach Road Construction Investment Project connecting to National Highway 37.
