(QBĐT) - On the morning of December 22, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee coordinated with the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Quang Binh Branch and Nong thon Viet Magazine to organize the inauguration ceremony of the tree planting project to prevent landslides at the Truong Son Martyrs Memorial Temple on Road 20 Quyet Thang, Ca Roong - ATP key point in Thuong Trach commune (Bo Trach).
The project of planting trees to prevent landslides and create landscapes in the area of the Truong Son Martyrs' Memorial Temple on Road 20 Quyet Thang, the Ca Roong-ATP key point and the Truong Son Martyrs' Memorial Temple - Long Dai Ferry (Hien Ninh Commune, Quang Ninh) was implemented from August 2024 with a total cost of 300 million VND, sponsored through the running program "Rural Vietnam Marathon - 65 years of opening the Ho Chi Minh Trail: Contribute a tree to Truong Son".
The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee calls for active and enthusiastic response from all levels of the Youth Union, Association and a large number of cadres, union members and young people in participating in the activities of "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday"...
In addition, establish youth volunteer teams, youth shock teams, youth formations to participate in environmental protection; strongly promote the pioneering role and volunteer spirit in propaganda work, raise awareness of tree planting and afforestation among each citizen, contribute to preserving the ecological environment, minimizing the impact of climate change, and protecting society.
During more than 4 months of implementation, despite harsh weather conditions and rugged mountainous terrain, thanks to the efforts and close coordination of relevant units and the enthusiasm of union members and youth, the project was completed on schedule, bringing a new look to the area.
More than 6,300 new trees were planted, covering the hillsides, helping to retain soil, prevent landslides and significantly improve the ecological environment. Each tree today is not only a symbol of life and peace but also a testament to the pioneering spirit and responsibility of young people in protecting the environment and preserving historical and cultural values.
