Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the stele house with the names of heroic martyrs in the Dao San area.

The stele house with the names of heroic martyrs in the Dao San area is divided into 2 phases: Phase 1 and Phase 2.

Comrade Giang Pao My - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation rang the bell at the inauguration ceremony.

Accordingly, Phase 1 started construction of the Monument House to record the names of heroic martyrs in the Dao San area on July 27, 2017, including the following items: Ancient house, 3-storey polygonal roof covered with tiles with an area of 30 m2; steps leading to the monument house; campus and relief sketching the process of fighting to protect the border and building the homeland of the army and people in the Dao San area.

The project was inaugurated and put into use on March 6, 2018, managed by Dao San Border Guard Station. By December 2022, implementing Decision No. 23/2020/QD-UBND dated June 26, 2020 of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee on promulgating regulations on management of works honoring martyrs in Lai Chau province, Dao San Border Guard Station officially handed over the Monument House with the names of heroic martyrs to Dao San Commune People's Committee for management.

After 5 years of use, affected by climate and weather, the project has deteriorated. With the consensus and permission of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee and Provincial Border Guard Command; Dao San Commune Party Committee, People's Committee, Dao San Border Guard Station Party Committee and Command held a meeting and decided to establish a Steering Committee for the construction of the Monument House to record the names of heroic martyrs in the Dao San area, phase 2, and started construction on September 6, 2024.

Phase 2 is implemented with the following items: Main gate, fences on both sides of the main gate, fences around the stele house, stone cladding on both sides of the road leading to the stele house grounds, painting gate posts, fence posts...

The construction of a more spacious Monument to the Martyrs and Heroes of the Dao San area aims to educate about tradition, show gratitude, and commemorate the great contributions of the Martyrs and Heroes who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and protection of the Fatherland. The inauguration will be on the occasion of the 78th Anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).
