Inauguration and groundbreaking of many rural bridges

On the morning of September 21, at Hung Nhuong commune, the Provincial People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony of 4 rural bridges including: Giong Tre Qua (Tan Hao commune), Hung Nhuong-Tan Hao inter-commune, inter-hamlet 8-9 and Dinh bridge (Hung Nhuong commune). The projects were implemented by the Department of Internal Political Security ( Ministry of Public Security ).

Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - former Politburo member, former National Assembly Chairman; Nguyen Tan Dung - former Politburo member, former Prime Minister; General Le Hong Anh - former Politburo member, former Standing member of the Secretariat; Lieutenant General Dinh Van Noi - Director of the Internal Political Security Department (Ministry of Public Security); Ho Thi Hoang Yen - Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, and other provincial leaders.

The 4 bridges have a total length of 228.4m, with a total investment of 13.8 billion VND; of which, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam sponsored 10 billion VND, Chau Thoi 620 Concrete Joint Stock Company sponsored bridge girders worth 3.8 billion VND, and people donated land, plants and crops.

At the inauguration ceremony, 3 groups including: Internal Political Security Department (Ministry of Public Security); Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam; 620 Chau Thoi Concrete Joint Stock Company and 6 individuals were commended and received certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee.

* Previously, the Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin - Protection of Children's Rights of the province coordinated with the People's Committee of Tan Phu commune to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Van Duyen 49 bridge (old 3 Mai bridge), Tan Qui hamlet, Tan Phu commune.

Van Duyen 49 Bridge is designed with a length of 21m and a width of 3.3m. The total construction cost is 225 million VND; of which, the sponsor, Van Duyen Charity Group , Ho Chi Minh City, supports 180 million VND, the rest is contributed by the people.

The construction of the bridge not only contributes to promoting the socio-economic development of Tan Qui hamlet but also motivates the development of neighboring hamlets, creating favorable conditions for hundreds of households to travel and transport goods easily, especially agricultural products, and for children to study conveniently.
