Survey of effective economic models in U Minh commune

The delegation visited the crab salt production model of Huong Bao Chau Co., Ltd., located in Hamlet 14, U Minh Commune. This is an efficient crab salt production facility aiming for OCOP product registration. Currently, the company sells its products on e-commerce platforms such as voso.vn, TikTok, Shopee, and also sells through livestreaming, achieving quite high efficiency. The company has also established a raw material area and purchases shrimp and crab from local farmers. This has created jobs for many local workers. Thanks to e-commerce transactions, the company's products have reached nationwide markets.

On the same day, the delegation visited the integrated farming model of Mr. Lam Quang Tong in Hamlet 8, U Minh Commune. Currently, Mr. Tong raises a combination of species such as eels, frogs, turtles, and water snakes. The model provides a steady income from selling commercial frogs and eels. In addition, he also supplies froglings and transfers farming techniques to local people.

During the meeting, the Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Council of Le Hong Thinh commune inquired about the production situation of the enterprise and livestock farmers, and also learned about product outlets as well as the need for capital, machinery, and equipment support. Regarding the crab salt product, he highly appreciated its novelty, creativity, and the utilization of raw materials from the local crab industry . He requested the company to promptly complete the dossier for submission for assessment and development of the commune's OCOP product.

The Party Secretary of the commune also requested relevant departments to pay attention to and create favorable conditions regarding capital, equipment, and machinery for businesses and households when needed. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of supporting and replicating effective models and products to promote local economic development.
