Optimizing the production process
Amidst the bustling atmosphere of the factory, as the hectic production hours subsided to make way for breaks between shifts, we had the opportunity to chat with Ms. Nguyen Thi Thom, Deputy Director of the Production Engineering Department at XDD Textile Co., Ltd. (VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park), and hear her share about her work process and her dedication to the profession.

Having been with the company for over 11 years, Ms. Thom vividly remembers her early days working there. As a newcomer to the textile industry, she was given opportunities by the company's leadership to learn and hone her skills. Within a few months, Ms. Thom quickly caught up with the requirements and was able to keep pace with the work.
"Like other workers, I always receive care and encouragement from the company's leadership. Everyone receives thorough training and guidance to acquire the necessary skills to best meet job requirements. The working environment and corporate culture here are excellent, so I am determined to stay long-term and strive to contribute to the company's overall development," Ms. Thơm expressed.
Thanks to her research efforts and the support of her colleagues, Ms. Thom came up with an initiative to optimize the spinning machinery, finding a reasonable parameter for distributing cotton waste at each stage, ensuring that the output quality meets standards. As a result, the company saved approximately 750 tons of cotton in 2024. In addition, many of Ms. Thom's solutions have been highly appreciated by the company, contributing to improving product quality and reducing production costs.
After graduating from Da Nang University of Foreign Languages, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Trang started working at Dung Quat College of Technology. After 17 years working in the Training Management Department, Ms. Trang was transferred to the position of Deputy Head of the Faculty of Basic Sciences . Regardless of her position, she always strived to improve her professional knowledge and perform her assigned duties well.

Starting from the 2019-2020 academic year, Dung Quat College of Technology has benefited from two training programs transferred from the Federal Republic of Germany for two professions: Mechanical equipment system maintenance and oil and gas processing equipment operation. Each program has a duration of nearly 7,000 hours and is distributed over 7 semesters (3.5 years).
At that time, Ms. Trang was assigned to supervise and monitor the Mechanical Equipment System Maintenance class. To support the work in a scientific and efficient manner, Ms. Trang successfully developed and implemented the initiative "Research on building teaching management forms for the Mechanical Equipment System Maintenance class based on the program transferred from the Federal Republic of Germany." The novelty of the initiative lies in the fact that the forms for monitoring and statistically analyzing teaching hours are updated accordingly for each period. The forms for teaching plans and timetables applied to the class all include subject codes and teacher codes.
As the Deputy Head of the Faculty of Basic Sciences, Ms. Trang has made positive and effective contributions to the management of the faculty as well as to the direct implementation of professional work... Her innovative approaches to professional work not only bring high efficiency and save time, but are also widely applied throughout the university.
