DNO - On the afternoon of May 25, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet came to commend and reward the City Police for their successful investigation and discovery of Project 523C, arresting a group of subjects transporting and illegally trading more than 9 kg of drugs from Quang Tri province to Da Nang city. Also attending were Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Vo Cong Chanh and Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen.

On behalf of the city's leaders, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet acknowledged and commended the achievements of the City Police, directly the Special Task Force 523C and the coordinating forces.
“This is considered the project to seize the largest amount of drugs ever in the city. This achievement is a very special mark, demonstrating the arduous and fierce fighting spirit of the City Police in general and the Drug Crime Investigation Police force in particular.
This is also an encouragement for the police investigation force, especially the anti-drug force and the movement to protect national security in the city to have more motivation and firm belief in professional expertise. From there, they will always be ready and dedicated to performing their functions well, bringing trust to the Party Committee, government and people of the city" - Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized. At the same time, he hoped that the Task Force would continue to fight fiercely to find the subjects involved in this ring, as well as successfully destroy other drug crime rings.

In particular, from this achievement, the City Police continue to promote and have more motivation and confidence to excellently complete its political tasks; continue to have achievements, bringing safety to the city.
After a period of establishing a special project to fight, on May 23, the City Police coordinated with professional units of the Ministry of Public Security , the Mui Trau Tunnel Operation Management Enterprise (Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company) to successfully break the secret project 523C, destroying a drug trafficking ring specializing in buying and selling large quantities of drugs from Lao Bao border gate (Quang Tri province) to Da Nang city, arresting Tra Van Cong (born in 1995, residing in Hoa Quy ward, Ngu Hanh Son district) and Dang Quang Hieu (born in 1998, residing in Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district); confiscating more than 9kg of drugs (ketamine and crystal meth), 3 mobile phones, 1 set of drug use tools and some related evidence.
Conducting a quick test, Cong and Hieu tested positive for drugs. The city police have temporarily detained the two subjects for illegal drug trafficking. The case is currently being investigated and strictly handled according to regulations.
