An Thanh Garden, covering over 1,550 square meters and with a total investment of over 3.3 billion VND, is nearly 40% complete and is expected to be put into use in four months.

Currently, Tan Khanh ward has 10 parks with areas ranging from 500m² to 7,000m² , serving the needs of residents for living space. These are all areas that residents consider prime locations, "golden land".

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Quang, An Thanh park is located in an area where land prices are around 20 million VND/ . However, with the aim of creating urban landscapes and aesthetics, and providing a recreational space for the spiritual life of the people, the local authorities built the park to serve the needs of approximately 8,000 residents of the neighborhood, the majority of whom are factory workers.

Besides Tan Khanh ward, many other localities in Ho Chi Minh City are also utilizing prime land to create parks and gardens. Among them, Di An ward – the most populous ward in Ho Chi Minh City with over 234,000 people – now has 27 parks and landscaped areas totaling over 94,000 to serve local residents, 51% of whom are factory workers.

Vo Van Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Di An Ward, shared that the local parks, gardens, and flowerbeds meet the community's need for living space. This is also a prerequisite for the locality to aim towards the goal of building a civilized, compassionate, and livable ward.

Meanwhile, at many morning coffee meetings between ward leaders and residents of Thu Dau Mot ward, the issue of building parks and gardens was raised. From then on, this became a chosen topic for these morning coffee meetings, and subsequently became a conversation between the government and the people.

To date, Thu Dau Mot ward has 44 parks, flower gardens, and flowerbeds under its management. Among them is a flower garden of just over 40 square meters , a surplus plot of land from urban renovation that has been repurposed to create a green space.

Fortunately, after the State allocated land for parks and gardens, the exercise equipment installed there was all mobilized from social sources, with many contributions from the local people themselves, the direct beneficiaries.

The above results show that creating shared living spaces for the people, as well as promoting the role of the people in knowing, discussing, inspecting, and benefiting, is a correct policy. In this context, the joint efforts of the people and local authorities are a valuable asset, helping to achieve the set goals aimed at creating a bright, green, clean, and beautiful living environment.
