About 10 billion VND for organizing high school graduation exams in 2023

On the morning of June 23, a working delegation from the Ministry of Education and Training led by Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong inspected preparations for the high school graduation exam in Dong Nai .

Reporting to the Deputy Minister of Education and Training, Mr. Vo Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Nai province, said that the whole province has 59 testing sites. Of which, Bien Hoa city has the most testing sites with 19 testing sites, the remaining localities have from 2 to 7 testing sites.

In addition, Dong Nai has also prepared 11 backup testing sites in 11 localities. The backup testing sites all have surveillance cameras, full staff and facilities according to regulations.

Mr. Vo Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Department of Education and Training, reported to the working delegation.

To serve the exam, Dong Nai mobilized nearly 6,000 people to take on work in 7 departments: including the secretariat, the exam printing department, the exam transportation and handover department, the exam invigilation department, the essay exam marking department, the essay exam marking department, and the multiple-choice exam marking department.

According to Mr. Thach, the number of candidates in Dong Nai is very large, ranking 5th in the country (after Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An and Thanh Hoa) with 33,263 candidates. Of which, there are 26,009 high school candidates, 7,254 GDTX candidates, the rest are independent candidates. The cost of organizing the exam is about 10 billion VND.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong said that recently, the Ministry's leaders have established 5 delegations to inspect the preparation for the high school graduation exam in 20 provinces and cities. The Ministry of Education and Training Inspectorate also established 10 delegations to inspect more than 20 other provinces and cities.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Training highly appreciated the exam preparation work of Dong Nai province, and at the same time requested to strengthen inspection and supervision to promptly detect and quickly handle any shortcomings, ensuring the exam takes place safely and seriously.

Mr. Thuong also noted that Dong Nai province must provide maximum support to candidates during the 2023 high school graduation exam, ensuring that no candidate has material or transportation difficulties and cannot reach the exam site.
