Regarding the e-commerce market in the past 6 months, according to the report, total sales reached VND 202,300 billion, up 41.52% over the same period in 2024 with 1,923 million products sold, up 25.44% over the same period.

Of which, TikTok Shop recorded a 69% sales growth, increasing its market share from 29% to 39%. Meanwhile, Shopee recorded a slight growth of 16% but still held a market share of 58%. In contrast, Lazada and Tiki lost 48% and 63% of their sales compared to the same period last year. Lazada currently holds only 3% of the market share.

A notable trend during this period was the growth of cheap imported goods on Shopee. Specifically, this product group accounted for 6% of total sales on the entire platform, achieving a revenue growth rate of 6.61%. Specifically, in total, more than 164 million cheap imported products were consumed on Shopee in 6 months, with an average value of each product reaching about 45,625 VND.

According to Metric, this trend shows the increasingly fierce elimination in e-commerce, when the market is focusing on large sellers with the ability to maintain stable orders.
