The Nguyen Hoang Bridge has 5 spans, is 380m long and 43m wide, and is the 5th bridge connecting the two banks of the Perfume River. The bridge is part of the project to expand Nguyen Hoang Road and build a bridge over the Perfume River with a total investment of over 2.281 billion VND; of which, the cost of constructing and completing the Nguyen Hoang Bridge is over 1.855 billion VND.
The Nguyen Hoang Bridge has 6 lanes for cars (3.5m wide), 2 lanes for motorbikes (3.5m wide), safety barriers in each direction, and a 3m wide pedestrian walkway, arranged at different levels on both sides. The bridge was put into operation on March 26, 2025, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Hue City.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated Hue City's efforts in effectively implementing the Prime Minister's directives during his inspection of the Nguyen Hoang Bridge construction site in April 2024; and its efficient use of central government funding for the project. He also requested Hue City to continue researching and refining its spatial development plan with the Perfume River as the main axis, building more beautiful bridges across the river, developing synchronous infrastructure, creating a bright, green, clean, and beautiful landscape, especially a system of parks, green spaces, pedestrian areas, and environmentally friendly transportation, creating new development spaces and exploiting tourism and services.
Earlier that morning, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation visited and presented gifts to several households in the social housing area of the An Van Duong new urban area (Hue City).
The Prime Minister congratulated the families on settling down and establishing their lives in new, spacious homes with modern, integrated infrastructure and amenities within the urban area, including commercial and high-end housing segments.


Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh commended Hue City for effectively implementing the Government's and Prime Minister's directives on social housing development. This has contributed to promoting sustainable urbanization and, together with the rest of the country, to implementing the plan to invest in and build at least 1 million social housing units during the 2021-2030 period.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also requested Hue City to continue promoting and allocating land, implementing preferential financial policies, and deploying credit packages for both investors and buyers/renters of social housing, including a credit package for people under 35 years old to buy social housing. Social housing projects must be built ensuring adequate and synchronized infrastructure such as transportation, electricity, water supply and drainage, telecommunications, and healthcare, education, and culture, at reasonable prices; harmonizing the interests of the people, investors, and the state .
