Construction of 100% temporary and dilapidated houses must be eliminated by 2025 - Cao Bang Electronic Newspaper

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, by July 25, the whole province had started construction on 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses that need to be eliminated in 2025 according to the plan of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

With support from the government, departments, and self-mobilized capital, up to now 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province have been repaired or rebuilt.

The target assigned in 2025 according to Decision No. 812/QD-UBND dated June 18, 2025 of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province is 6,702 temporary and dilapidated houses that need to be removed. Up to now, the whole province has deployed 6,684/6,702 houses, reaching 99.73% (there are 18 houses that do not need to be repaired or rebuilt) . Of which, 6,230/6,702 houses have been completed, reaching 92.96%; 454 houses are under construction, reaching 6.77%. The implementation cost is 345 billion 501 million VND, of which the disbursed cost is 258 billion 750 million VND, including: State budget 76 billion 333 million VND, local budget 11 billion 064 million VND, Ministry of Public Security source 110 billion 408 million VND, 5% savings source is 40 billion 140 million VND, socialized 20 billion 805 million VND; family self-mobilized cost is 86 billion 751 million VND. In addition, localities, departments and branches mobilized to help families with 50,701 laborers, 34 tons of cement, 29,600 bricks, 1,070 cement panels, 6 ^m3 of stone.

In 2024, the project will be implemented on 504/504 houses, reaching 100%. Of which, 458/504 houses will be completed, reaching 90.87%; 46 houses are under construction, reaching 9.13% . The implementation cost is 18 billion 686 million VND, of which 18 billion 346 million VND has been disbursed ; the family's self-mobilized budget is 340 million VND.

According to the assessment of the localities, all the houses have been started, however, the number of houses under construction is still large . The main reason is the impact of prolonged heavy rains in the past time, hindering the implementation of construction on the ground. In addition, some households are delayed due to complex terrain and difficulties in transporting materials , affecting the construction progress. It is recommended that localities continue to closely monitor the weather situation, proactively coordinate human resources and means to speed up the construction progress, and strive to complete the handover of houses to people before August 15, 2025 according to the direction of the Prime Minister .
