(DN) - On June 18, after attending the groundbreaking ceremony of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway project, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and representatives of ministries, branches and localities attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Phuoc An Bridge project in Phu My Town ( Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province).

Phuoc An Bridge project across Thi Vai River connects Phu My Town (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province) with Nhon Trach District ( Dong Nai Province) with a total length of about 4.7km. The starting point connects with Cai Mep - Thi Vai inter-port route, the end point connects with the route to Phuoc An Port. In which, the length of the bridge is about 3.5km, the main span is designed in the shape of a sail, the clearance height is 55m, the width of the approach bridge is 23.5m, the width of the main bridge is 27m, ensuring 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for mixed vehicles.

The total investment of the project is about 4.8 trillion VND. It is expected to be completed in 2027. This is an important project that contributes to connecting the Cai Mep - Thi Vai port system with the Southeast and Southwest regions.
