On May 15, in Ho Tram, Xuyen Moc, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Ho Tram Project Company Limited held a groundbreaking ceremony for a new 35-hectare subdivision with an investment of 1 billion USD.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - Politburo member, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Mr. Pham Viet Thanh - Secretary of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee...

There were also representatives of Warburg Pincus Fund (USA); General Director, founding shareholder of VinaCapital Group - Mr. Don Lam; General Director of The Grand Ho Tram - Mr. Walt Power...

The investor said that this subdivision includes a system of 5-star hotels, resort villas, entertainment facilities, casinos, and international convention and exhibition centers. This system has more than 6,000 rooms, serving about 18,000 guests per day.

The groundbreaking of the above project demonstrates Warburg Pincus' long-term investment commitment and demonstrates the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the US in economic and tourism development.

The above project is part of the overall The Grand Ho Tram project, with a total investment capital of more than 4 billion USD.

The investor expects that with the traffic infrastructure being invested in such as Bien Hoa - Vung Tau and Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressways, travel time to Ho Tram will be shortened.

In particular, the Long Thanh - Ho Tram expressway project is implementing investment procedures, expected to start construction on September 2, promising to strongly promote tourism in Ho Tram and neighboring areas.

This tourist area will also benefit greatly from macro policies when Ba Ria - Vung Tau is planned to merge into Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province - said that tourism is one of the important economic pillars of the province, and the project today is the result of close and effective coordination between the government and businesses for national and international projects.

At the same time, we commit to always accompany, create the most favorable conditions to support, remove difficulties and speed up the settlement of related administrative procedures so that the project can be implemented as quickly, as soon as possible and most effectively. Thereby contributing unique products to Ba Ria - Vung Tau tourism today and Ho Chi Minh City in the future.
