This morning (April 19), the Hanoi People's Committee solemnly held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Project to build a grade-separated intersection between Ring Road 3.5 and Thang Long Avenue, Hoai Duc District, Hanoi .
This activity is part of a series of projects and works that were started and inaugurated, key national projects and major projects on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) organized in the form of online television simultaneously nationwide.
Within the Hanoi Capital Transport Planning to 2030, with a vision to 2050, the Project to build a grade-separated intersection between Ring Road 3.5 and Thang Long Avenue, Hoai Duc District has a total investment of over 2,384 billion VND, invested by the Hanoi Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Thang Long Joint Venture (VINACONEX Joint Stock Corporation; Trung Chinh Trading and Construction Company Limited; Vietnam Infrastructure Investment and Consulting Joint Stock Company; Truong Son Consulting Joint Stock Company and VTCO Investment Company Limited) was selected as the winning bidder for Package No. 28 - designing construction drawings and constructing the entire traffic works, technical infrastructure works and purchasing and installing construction equipment.
This is also the main, important and most valuable package of the Project to build a different level intersection between Ring Road 3.5 and Thang Long Avenue, Hoai Duc District, Hanoi with a total contract value of up to 1,620 billion VND.
The main items of Package No. 28 include the construction of turbine branches combined with direct tunnels including a direct underpass in the direction of Le Trong Tan to National Highway 32, the centerline coincides with Le Trong Tan Street, arranging 4 lanes with a total length of 975 m.
The section under Thang Long Avenue is designed with a 150m long closed tunnel; the Le Trong Tan side is designed with an open tunnel 157.5m long, with a 220m long retaining wall; the National Highway 32 side is designed with an open tunnel 157.5m long, with a 200m long retaining wall, the rest is a wheel guard.
The prestressed reinforced concrete slab girder turbine branch bridge has a length of 2,357 m/4 branches, a bridge width of 8.8 m, 2 lanes, and a reinforced concrete retaining wall with a total length of 614 m.
The package also includes the installation of road signs, traffic lights, road markings, and synchronous technical infrastructure.
Upon completion, the Project will complete the planned traffic infrastructure system, connect and exploit it reasonably with the built infrastructure; minimize congestion to serve the needs of goods circulation, production and travel of people, contributing to accelerating the formation of urban areas in the region.
