2025 Dancesport Tournament Sets Record With 1,800 Athletes Participating

The 2025 Quang Ninh Province Open Sports Dance and Art Championship set a record with more than 1,800 athletes from 60 clubs in the province and 12 provinces and cities across the country, becoming the largest tournament ever at the provincial level.

On the morning of August 3, at the Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace of Quang Ninh province, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province opened the 2025 Open Sports Dance and Art Forms Championship.

This year's tournament recorded a record number of more than 1,800 athletes from 60 clubs in the province and 12 provinces and cities across the country, becoming the largest tournament ever in the provincial dance sports system.

Taking place over 3 days (August 1-3), the tournament includes two groups of content: sports dance (classes A - F with two genres Latin and Standard) and performing arts such as folk dance, zumba, hip hop, aerobics, shuffle dance, yoga, dance... Athletes compete from children to seniors, competing individually, in pairs and in teams, creating a vibrant atmosphere with many artistic colors.

This year's award is considered to have high professional quality.

The tournament brings together 50 national and international referees, administering and scoring according to the standards of the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), ensuring professionalism and fairness. The highlight this year is the synchronized team performance, which is meticulously invested in, technical and creative, bringing many eye-catching performances to the audience.

Organized in a 100% socialized form, the tournament recorded the active participation of clubs, coaches, and businesses, thereby affirming the strong vitality of the sports and arts movement in Quang Ninh. Many outstanding individuals and groups were honored; a number of typical athletes will be selected to participate in the 2025 National Sports Dance Championship.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the team cup to the clubs and localities that made great contributions and participated in large numbers, contributing to the success of the tournament.

Not only having professional significance, the tournament is also a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, responding to the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho". This is also a vibrant cultural and sports event, contributing to attracting tourists, promoting tourism and services of Quang Ninh.
