Hong Gai Ward (Quang Ninh): Approved project to renovate and upgrade flooded streets

The project to renovate, upgrade, embellish and handle flooding of streets in Yet Kieu 2, Yet Kieu 3, Yet Kieu 4, Tran Hung Dao 4, Hong Gai ward has a total investment of nearly 57 billion VND, with the People's Committee of Hong Gai ward (Quang Ninh province) as the investor.

Decision No. 3871/QD-UBND signed by Mr. Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee on October 15, 2025, approved the project of Renovation, upgrading, embellishment and flood treatment of streets in Yet Kieu 2, Yet Kieu 3, Yet Kieu 4, Tran Hung Dao 4, Hong Gai ward in 2025-2026.

According to this Decision, the project's objective is to promptly handle and overcome environmental pollution and local flooding when there is heavy rain, affecting the safety, life, livelihood and property of people and ensuring traffic safety associated with urban upgrading in central urban areas.

Upgrading, beautifying and treating flooding on streets in Hong Gai ward with a total length of about 2.2km, including 19 streets.

The project has a total investment of 56.9 billion VND. Project implementation progress is 2025-2026. Project life: Traffic works 10 years; technical infrastructure works not less than 50 years.

Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee assigned Hong Gai Ward People's Committee to be the investor. Hong Gai Ward People's Committee is fully responsible for the content, scale of investment, accuracy of figures, data, analysis; accuracy and completeness of items, workload and legality of documents submitted for appraisal and approval.

Organize project management, capital sources, and take the next steps to ensure compliance with legal regulations on public investment, construction, bidding, and other relevant regulations, ensuring progress, quality, investment efficiency, publicity, transparency, and no loss, waste, corruption, negativity, or "group interests".

Have a plan to organize and coordinate the implementation of tasks and work items of the project to ensure the overall progress of the project according to the investment policy approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 3396/QD-UBND dated September 3, 2025.
