National workshop seeks solutions to promote cross-border e-commerce by 2025

ĐNO - On the morning of October 24, the University of Economics (University of Danang) in collaboration with the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM) and the University of Economics (Hue University) co-organized the national scientific conference "Promoting cross-border e-commerce 2025".

At the plenary session, speakers and leading technology businesses such as Amazon Global Selling, Google, and Shopee shared strategies, tools, and practical solutions to support Vietnamese businesses in expanding their online export markets.

Some of the presentations include: Vietnam's cross-border e-commerce scale in 2024, Amazon's strategy to support Vietnamese businesses to promote online exports, Google's solutions and tools to support online exports; Shopee supports micro, small and medium enterprises to export online.

At the workshop, nine specialized sub-committees discussed new research and application directions in e-commerce, cross-border logistics, digital marketing and global supply chain management.

Many papers proposed specific models and solutions to enhance digital capacity for Vietnamese small and medium enterprises.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Doan Ngoc Phi Anh, Vice Principal of the University of Economics (University of Danang ), recently, many national policies and programs have been issued to support businesses, especially micro, small and medium enterprises, to participate more deeply in the global value chain through e-commerce.

The development of cross-border e-commerce is a vivid demonstration that science and technology are becoming a bridge to help Vietnam integrate more deeply into the world economy.

In that context, the workshop was held to assess the current status, potential, opportunities and challenges of cross-border e-commerce in Vietnam.

At the same time, share international experiences, identify policy, legal and human resource barriers, thereby proposing feasible solutions to promote online exports and enhance competitiveness for Vietnamese enterprises in the digital age.

The conference is also an open scientific forum for researchers, managers and businesses to discuss advanced policies, technologies and business models.

Thereby, providing scientific arguments for perfecting the legal framework on e-commerce and digital commerce in the coming time.
