The 2026 military recruitment season is bustling with excitement from early on.

As early as September 2025, citizen Bui Huy Hoang, born in 2007 and residing in Hai Hoa 8 area, volunteered to perform military service in 2026.

As for citizen Nguyen Huy Hoang (residing in Tra Co, Mong Cai 1 ward), a representative of the youth speaking at the meeting program, praising the youth who volunteered to join the army in 2026 organized by Mong Cai 1 ward on October 15, Hoang affirmed that he is ready to accept the task when the Fatherland needs it. Hoang also used local information channels to say that: Every young person, after finishing high school, should first think of joining the military service to train himself and contribute to the country.

Through screening, the young volunteers are all in good health and have a high sense of responsibility. He affirmed that the source of young people joining the army in 2026 of the ward will ensure both quantity and quality. Each application is not only an administrative procedure but also a commitment, demonstrating the will, pride and dedication of the youth. It is this spirit of volunteering that has ignited a new spirit for the 2026 military recruitment season.

From October 22 to 24, the Military Service Council of Mong Cai 1 Ward organized a preliminary selection and health check for citizens of military age ready to join the army in 2026. At the end of the preliminary selection, 173 young men participated in the preliminary examination for military service. The young men all expressed their readiness to leave when the Fatherland needs them, considering it an honor and pride of youth.

The voluntary applications for military service of the youth of Mong Cai 1 ward are continuing the tradition of their fathers. The simple applications but containing the desire to contribute are the highlight creating a vibrant atmosphere for the upcoming military recruitment season.

2026 is the first year of implementing the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army and perform their duty to join the People's Public Security under the 2-level local government model. The tasks of the district level are transferred to the commune level, partly to the provincial level, so the selection and calling of citizens to join the army has many new points. The work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army is applied according to the Law on Military Service 2015, which has been amended by Law No. 98/2025/QH15.

Comrade Do Van Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Mong Cai 1 Ward, said: The Ward Military Service Council operates on the principles of collective, public, transparent, and legal compliance; at the same time, it promotes propaganda and education on military service, the obligation to join the People's Public Security, promoting the homeland's traditions and citizens' sense of responsibility to the Fatherland.

During the recruitment process, the ward focused on implementing the motto of "rounded recruitment, solid people", clearly defining the responsibilities of each council member. Along with that, the locality promoted administrative reform, applied information technology in resource management, created citizen records, reduced procedures, and avoided causing trouble for the people.

Mong Cai 1 Ward also built a specific plan to effectively implement the military rear policy; promptly encouraged and supported families with citizens joining the army; paid attention to receiving and introducing jobs to discharged soldiers. Violations of the Law on Military Service were strictly handled, and exemplary collectives and individuals in military recruitment were promptly commended and rewarded.

The locality focuses on improving the quality of selection, giving priority to young people with college and university degrees; and paying attention to Party development work in the military. The ward strives to complete 100% of assigned targets, ensuring comprehensive quality.

With the initiative, determination in implementation and the voluntary spirit of the youth, Mong Cai 1 ward believes that it will excellently complete the military recruitment target in 2026, contributing to promoting the heroic tradition in the homeland.
