Over the past 9 months, Thai Nguyen has promoted many communication activities and information poverty reduction at the grassroots level. As one of the core units in the implementation of this project, since the beginning of the year, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with related units to organize the production of 42 new skits, radio programs and the radio program "Information poverty reduction".

According to Mr. Do Xuan Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , the main content of propaganda is about poverty reduction, providing essential information to serve people's information needs, providing it on the province's source information system, and scheduling it to be broadcast on the loudspeaker system.

The unit has organized propaganda through performing arts activities to serve the people in 16 sessions; brought information to the grassroots in 22 sessions; and shown films in the highlands in 120 sessions with more than 4,500 attendees.

Thanks to the efforts of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, 100% of households living in difficult areas such as Ngan Son and Vo Nhai have had access to information on sustainable poverty reduction through media products; strengthening the infrastructure for the commune radio station with 39 loudspeaker clusters applying information technology and telecommunications.

In addition, the provincial departments and branches have also actively coordinated with propaganda agencies to produce television reports and articles on poverty reduction, typical examples and poverty reduction models. Mr. Hoang Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Tan Thanh Commune Party Committee, said: The mass media has contributed to spreading bright examples of poverty reduction in the community.

In addition, units and localities have also organized training courses on poverty reduction information for officials and people to participate. In particular, the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development has organized 7 training courses to improve the capacity of implementing projects and plans to support production development for over 590 officials working on poverty reduction in the past 9 months.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, Head of the Department of Economic Cooperation and Rural Development, said: The knowledge learned helps the officials working on poverty reduction in the province to improve their capacity to perform their tasks, support people with necessary information in the process of developing their family economy, and rising out of poverty...

The localities also organized 12 training courses on poverty reduction policies with 390 participants. This is considered very important content for people to grasp opportunities, fully enjoy policies and have the awareness to strive to build a better life...

Previously, in mountainous and highland areas of the province, the lack of information still occurred when telecommunications infrastructure still had certain difficulties; access to information for people still had many obstacles because life was still difficult, many families did not have smartphones...

However, since the Poverty Reduction Communication Project on Information was implemented in Thai Nguyen, people have been updated with useful information. Many people have applied information on scientific and technical advances in production, thereby effectively developing their family economy. Many households have grasped the mechanisms and policies of the Party and State and completed documents and procedures to receive timely support and benefits, thereby improving their lives.

Based on the results achieved, in the coming time, the province will continue to promote communication on poverty reduction information at the grassroots level to contribute to raising awareness and responsibility of the whole society on poverty reduction work; arousing the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement to escape poverty of the people as well as improving the ability to access and enjoy legal benefits for people...
