Faced with the increasing demands of the health sector in the new period, the training of nursing human resources is receiving special attention. Recognizing that important role, Quang Ninh Medical College constantly innovates its programs, teaching methods, invests in facilities, and combines theory with practice to train a team of professional nurses with solid skills and professional ethics.

Since 2005, the school has trained over 3,500 full-time nursing college students and nearly 2,000 intermediate students. The school aims to train nurses with adequate qualities, ethics, knowledge and professional capacity. After graduating and receiving a degree, students at the school can work in nursing at all specialized departments of domestic medical facilities, private medical facilities; and even have the capacity to work in medical facilities and hospitals abroad.

To improve the quality of training, the school constantly innovates training programs, textbooks and teaching methods, taking learners as the center, promoting students' positivity and initiative, increasing the minimum practice volume from 70%; innovating the work of assessing learners according to their abilities. In addition, it strengthens digital transformation, invests in teaching equipment, practice models to meet teaching and learning conditions in the new period; strengthens coordination with hospitals, practice facilities, and businesses to improve vocational skills for students and find jobs after graduation.

Ms. Pham Hoai Thuong, Principal of Quang Ninh Medical College, said: The school always focuses on training to improve the quality of the teaching staff, attracting high-quality human resources, especially lecturers with doctoral degrees. The school's staff and lecturers are increasingly consolidated and improved in quality, meeting the training needs. Currently, the school has 60 staff and employees; including 1 doctorate, 36 masters and CKI, the rest have university degrees.

The school's facilities have been invested in and built spaciously. Up to now, over 80% of the classrooms are equipped with air conditioners and televisions to serve teaching and learning. 100% of the school campus is equipped with free wifi system. To serve the training of IT and assessment of subjects, the school has invested in 2 computer rooms, with 70 computers. The school also repaired and upgraded the modern library combining the traditional library and the electronic library. Students can refer to thousands of books in the quiet and relaxing library space.

To help students in general, and students of the Faculty of Nursing in particular, have the best conditions for studying and physical training, the school has built a multi-purpose building with 3 courts for pickeball, badminton and a stage for performing arts during festivals and camps. In recent school years, the school has included dancing and pickeball in the Physical Education curriculum to help students improve their physical strength and relax after professional study hours.

In addition to professional training, the school also pays great attention to and invests in extracurricular programs and activities for students. These include volunteer programs for community health, blood donation, sports, art competitions, and the establishment of clubs such as CYQ Media, Young Theory, Martial Arts, etc. This not only helps students have a healthy playground but also contributes their youth to the community.

With effective innovation in training, the quality of nursing human resources of Quang Ninh Medical College is increasingly improved, basically meeting the requirements of medical facilities inside and outside the province. The rate of graduates having jobs in their majors is over 85% and the quality of training is highly appreciated by employers. Every year, the school has 150-200 nursing college students who graduate and work at domestic and international medical facilities.
