To change perceptions and enhance action, women's associations at all levels have strengthened the application of information technology in their activities, implemented the Digital Literacy Movement, and especially considered digital transformation within the organization, accompanying women in improving their digital capabilities, as one of the breakthroughs of the new term. This demonstrates the determination of women's associations at all levels to participate in promoting digital transformation.
Positive change
At the recent launch ceremony of the Digital Branch model of the Women's Association in Ward 3A, Trang Dai Commune, Ms. Chu Thi Quyen was informed about the Digital Literacy Movement and guided on the use of several digital applications by members of the Digital Branch. "Through learning and being informed by the members of the branch, I realized that digital literacy isn't really that difficult; it's something everyone does daily, and anyone can learn to avoid being left behind in the digital age," Ms. Quyen said.

Ms. Tran Thi Khuyen, Head of the Women's Association, in charge of the Digital Association model in Block 3A, Trang Dai Ward, said: "The goal of the association is to help women learn how to use digital applications in administrative procedures, cashless payments, expense management, and self-protection in the digital environment... As the Head of the Association and in charge of the Digital Association model, she has independently researched and learned about these applications, and during association meetings, she has guided members on how to use them. 'In the near future, we will organize awareness campaigns and provide guidance to the leaders and deputy leaders of the 14 women's groups, and from there, the leaders and deputy leaders will disseminate the information and guidance to individual members and women to narrow the 'digital divide' between women's groups,' Ms. Khuyen said."
With numerous activities aimed at enhancing digital knowledge and skills for officials, members, and women, the Women's Union of Binh Phuoc Ward is considered a shining example in implementing the breakthrough of strengthening the application of information technology in union activities, and was selected to be the subject of a presentation at the 1st Congress of Women's Representatives of Dong Nai Province, term 2025-2030. According to the Women's Union of Binh Phuoc Ward, in addition to shifting its activities to an online environment, the union also organizes training courses on digital skills, guides infographic design; organizes online competitions, and competitions for designing promotional videos... Recently, the Women's Union of Binh Phuoc Ward launched a model of a women's business group on a digital platform, opening up a new direction for women to develop household economies and spreading the spirit of innovation and creativity in the community.
Digital transformation continues to be a breakthrough area.
Building on the achievements already made, the Resolution of the First Congress of the Women's Union of Dong Nai Province, term 2025-2030, continues to identify: Promoting digital transformation within the organization and accompanying women in enhancing their digital capabilities as one of the breakthroughs. The goal set by the Provincial Women's Union for this breakthrough is to popularize digital knowledge and skills for cadres, members, and women in a comprehensive and inclusive manner, ensuring no one is left behind in the digital transformation process. This contributes to narrowing the "digital gap" between different groups of women based on region, ethnicity, education level, and age; creating momentum to promote socio-economic development, enhance digital capabilities, digital awareness, and the ability to apply digital technology to all aspects of social life.
According to Ms. Bui Thi Hanh, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, to achieve this goal, the Provincial Women's Union has identified the primary task and solution as promoting awareness and digital culture among its members and women. Accordingly, activities will focus on raising awareness among cadres, members, and women regarding participation in digital transformation; unleashing the potential and creativity of women in the development of science , technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The "Building the Modern Vietnamese Woman" emulation movement will be linked with the "One Woman, One Basic Digital Skill" movement and the "One Practical Digital Service per Branch" movement. The Union's digital platforms will include additional sections such as "Digital Women," an electronic handbook of knowledge and skills in applying information technology, and models like "One Good News Every Day," "One Step Forward Every Week," etc., aiming to contribute to building a safe online space for women and guiding members and women to behave in a civilized, ethical, and responsible manner in the digital environment.
The most outstanding result of the breakthrough in applying information technology to association activities in the recent period is the shift in the awareness of association officials in self-learning, self-research, and applying information technology in association activities, organizing many activities to enhance digital capacity for members and women.
Ms. Bui Thi Hanh, Vice President of the Dong Nai Provincial Women's Union
In addition, the Provincial Women's Union proactively coordinated with relevant agencies to develop digital skills materials for its members and women; organized training courses and workshops to guide members and women on knowledge and skills in applying artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and skills in recognizing and preventing information insecurity and fraud in cyberspace…
In particular, continuing the implementation of the Digital Literacy Movement, the association will promote the activities of digital models such as: 1+1 Digital Instructors, Digital Families, Digital Association Branches, Women Helping Each Other in Digital Community, Digital Women's Business Groups, etc., aiming to create an environment for women to practice digital skills, use smart devices, and apply technology in learning, healthcare, production, and business.
Gradually narrowing the digital divide among women is a long journey that requires the joint efforts of all levels, sectors, and society as a whole. When women have access to technology and are equipped with digital skills, they will have greater capacity to be self-reliant, improve their lives, and participate more equally in all aspects of social life.
