On November 12th, the Farmers' Association of Vinh Long province solemnly held its first Provincial Farmers' Association Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Attending the congress was Comrade Phan Nhu Nguyen, alternate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Standing Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association.
Leaders from Vinh Long province attending included: Nguyen Minh Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Lam Minh Dang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Kim Ruong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Truong Thanh Danh - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Chau Van Hoa - Provincial Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives from departments, agencies, mass organizations; businesses… along with 294 official delegates who are outstanding cadres and members representing more than 390,000 farmers' association members in the province.
In his opening remarks at the congress, Comrade Nguyen Van Dung, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, stated that during the 2023-2025 period, the farmers' movement and association activities in the province achieved many important results.

The Farmers' Association plays a good role in gathering and mobilizing farmers to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; linking the emulation movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style with the Association's emulation movements such as: the movement for farmers to excel in production and business, solidarity and mutual assistance to get rich and sustainably reduce poverty; building new rural areas and participating in ensuring national defense and security…
Through these movements, the tradition of solidarity and the creative spirit of farmers continue to be promoted, the potential and internal strength in agriculture and rural areas are strongly unleashed, and the role of farmers in agricultural development and building new rural areas is increasingly affirmed.

Also at the official session, delegates heard a report on the results of the first working session; a summary of the draft Political Report of the Executive Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Farmers' Association for the period 2023-2025 and the direction, objectives, tasks and solutions for the term 2025-2030; watched a documentary on some outstanding achievements of the Vinh Long Provincial Farmers' Association for the period 2023-2025 and the direction, objectives and tasks for the term 2025-2030; and announced the decision of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association on the appointment of the Executive Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Farmers' Association for the first term and the delegation to attend the national congress...
