Border Guard forces launch a high-intensity emulation campaign to combat crime.

On the morning of December 10th, the Border Guard Command of Vinh Long province held a ceremony to launch a high-intensity emulation campaign to combat crime; drug trafficking; human trafficking; smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026; and simultaneously announced decisions and awarded extraordinary commendations for outstanding achievements in combating drug crimes in the coastal border area.

On the morning of December 10th, the Border Guard Command of Vinh Long province held a ceremony to launch a high-intensity emulation campaign to combat crime; drug trafficking; human trafficking; smuggling, commercial fraud, and counterfeit goods before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026; and simultaneously announced decisions and awarded extraordinary commendations for outstanding achievements in combating drug crimes in the coastal border area.

Colonel Mai Van Yen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Vinh Long province, presented awards to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the fight against drug crimes in the coastal border area.

At the launching ceremony, agencies and units under the Provincial Border Guard Command signed a competition agreement with specific contents and measures.

Thoroughly assess the situation and accurately evaluate the activities of various types of criminals in order to implement focused and targeted countermeasures. Strengthen the force to maintain strict patrols and controls of people and vehicles entering and leaving the maritime border area, and improve the effectiveness of hotlines, crime reporting mailboxes, and public information.

Working closely with law enforcement agencies to exchange information and establish special cases, while advising local authorities to strengthen legal awareness campaigns and launch a widespread movement for all citizens to participate in crime prevention and control, and to refrain from assisting in illegal activities.

To kick off this intensive campaign, on December 3rd and 4th, 2025, the Giao Long Port Border Guard Station, in coordination with other functional forces, successfully dismantled three consecutive cases of illegal drug possession in Binh Dai commune.

In order to promptly commend and promote the emulation movement, the Provincial Border Guard Command awarded commendations to 1 collective and 5 individuals who achieved outstanding results in participating in the fight against drug trafficking.

This includes commendations for the Anti-Drug and Crime Team, Giao Long Port Border Guard Station, and individuals from the Provincial Border Guard's Operations Department, Binh Dai Commune Police, and the Drug Crime Investigation Department of the Vinh Long Provincial Police. This is a remarkable, honorable, and responsible achievement of the officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard and other functional forces in the area, contributing to the firm management and protection of the province's maritime border security and sovereignty .
